Welcome to the Indigenous Living Community! (ILC)

The Indigenous Living Community (ILC) in Burton-Conner is a cultural living group intended to support and bring together undergraduate students who value traditional Indigenous ways of knowing; practice, or are in the process of reconnecting with, cultural traditions; and are mindful of their own relationality with community and the land. 

Everyone is welcome to join, whether you…

• Are a self-identifying Native American or globally Indigenous student,

• Have a complicated relationship with your Indigenous identity, or

• Do not identify as Indigenous, but are a community ally, or have strong ties to/are interested in reclaiming your heritage.

We are all on our own journeys of self-discovery, and the ILC is a home where you can find community on that journey!

The ILC is also a great place to become more involved with related student organizations on campus, such as the Native American & Indigenous Association (NAIA, naia-exec@mit.edu) and the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES, aises-request@mit.edu).
