welcome to
burton conner
enjoy your stay
Burton-Conner is home to over 350 residents during the school year. Burton-Conner is on the west side of the MIT campus, building W51. The dorm consists of nine floors—five on the Burton side, four on the Conner side—each of which has its own unique personality.
New first years, welcome to BC! Learn about our unique floor exploration process.
Burton Conner comprises a delicious stew of nine unique floors and one living group, each seasoned with its own culture, history, and aesthetic. Also in the mix are mural boards awaiting your slops of paint, a handful of quality facilities, energy-efficient windows (!!) and a heaping helping of sharp-looking, warm-hearted people. Living in BC can mean finding yourself the cause of our (not so) occasional fire alarms in your well-equipped suite kitchen, or simply enjoying yourself at one of BC’s dorm-wide events in the Porter Room, the largest indoor activity space north of the Charles and south of Briggs Field.
Burton Conner is diverse across all of our tight-knit floors, but we all pride ourselves on we playing just as hard as we work (and sometimes harder). Various things we play include:
Djembes
Ourselves
Fire drills
Certified club bangers at the annual Dance ‘Til You Drop party!
Settlers of Catan
Fire, not drills
Apple Bake
Plotting the downfall of capitalism
Offering sacrifice to a crustacean diety of your choice
Every year, hundreds of students choose to make their home in Burton Conner’s colorful halls, and we hope you will too. Come get a taste!
